GreenTouch Members Meeting
Paris, November 5, 2013

Energy efficiency in mobile networks is an increasing concern. It has gathered attention outside of the CROWD research project as well. A leading initiative in this context is the GreenTouch consortium; a group of both industrial and academic research working on problems of energy efficiency in mobile and wireless networks.

During the GreenTouch consortium meeting in November in Paris, the CROWD consortium had the opportunity to present its own architectural approach of a two-layer hierarchy of controllers as well as some of its algorithmic research. The presentation was greeted by high interest and a future tighter collaboration between GreenTouch and CROWD is envisioned.
